Sign the Petition Before It’s Too Late!

Preserve Fort Collins, a grassroots coalition formed to advocate for community livability is again being forced to run a petition during the winter holiday season, because Fort Collins City Council passed another version of the Land Use Code without listening to the people and without meaningful change from the code repealed last year. This code will encourage significant densification across every neighborhood in the city and will increase density by 52% and population by 70,000 over the LUC it replaces. Whether you live in Old Town, a neighborhood with an HOA or any other low-density neighborhood, you will be impacted by densification, additional corporate ownership of properties and a substantial increase in traffic; without affordability requirements. In fact, first time home buyers and our city’s working people will be less able to compete with the thousands moving from out of state, investors and private equity, who will bid up the price of homes even more.
