NEWS: DECEMBER 15, 2023 - Land Use Code On 12/19/2023 City Council Agenda

Dear PFC Supporters:

The protest hearing took place on Wednesday, 12/13/2023 at City Council Chambers. You can view the short protest hearing here (~20 min). The hearing officer had 10 days to make his decision on the protest. However, he released his decision just one day after the hearing, dismissing the protest altogether.

Just as we thought, the protest was meritless and appeared to be a desperate attempt to thwart the people’s right to petition our local government.

So now, the City Council will review our sufficient petition on Tuesday, 12/19/2023, and make one of two choices: to repeal the revised Land Use Code then and there, or to send the revised Land Use Code to the voters of Fort Collins. We insist on the latter. Please sign up for public comment and ask that City Council send the controversial revised Land Use Code to a vote of the people. The Council meeting begins at 6:00 PM on Tuesday 12/19/2023.

Finally, we are continuing to seek important legal counsel and representation from our attorneys regarding the upcoming 12/19/2023 vote of City Council, and how the LUC repeal will proceed beyond that.
